(Berlin) Yesterday evening in Berlin, during celebrations at the EIM gala dinner, the highlight of the DiALOG experts' forum, the second ever DiALOG Award was presented. This year's winner was the company Tigges GmbH & Co. KG, with its project "Information by Compliance".
The DiALOG Award is given for the creation of an outstanding future-orientated structure and user concept in administrative business processes. This was only the second year that the annual prize has been awarded.
The selection criteria included the presence of structured cross-curricular approaches and methods or functions for the long term measurable success of organisational processes in agile changing business processes. The panel were looking for intelligent solutions or proven concepts that contribute to the sustainable improvement of administrative business processes. The focus here is clearly not on IT, but the quality and sustainability of processes in everyday practical use. The DiALOG Award concept sees the best five entries go through as finalists and the winners. At the award ceremony, the winner was announced to lively applause.
Peter J. Schmerler, Managing Director of VOI e.V. and patron of the event, Steffen Schaar, Member of the Executive Board at The Quality Group GmbH and the initiator of the DiALOG Awards, and Eva Bischoff, Managing Director of the DiALOG Award premium partners, BCT Germany GmbH, and member of the jury, presented the winners and finalists with their awards.
Both national and international applications, of the highest quality, had been lodged with the nine-member jury. After careful deliberation, Tigges GmbH & Co. KG came out as the winner, for their project "Information by Compliance”. The panellists and event organisers also thank and congratulate the other finalists, including ANKER Gebr. Schoeller GmbH + Co. KG, ISO-Chemie GmbH, maxon motor ag and the University Hospital of Cologne, for their efforts and excellent applications.
"Out of all of the applicants, the projects from the award winners and finalists are particularly outstanding, as they demonstrate the theme of "Excellence with EIM" especially well", commented Steffen Schaar at the ceremony. "The response to the award confirms the trend of using EIM to help improve the motivation of staff and organisations in their continuous improvement processes, no longer simply 'through IT' but 'with IT', to sustainably meet the challenges of agile changing corporate processes."
Next year, the third DiALOG Award will be presented, once again, as part of the DiALOG experts' forum for Enterprise Information Management. The annual specialist event will be held on 28th and 29th April 2016 in Dresden. As part of the conference’s programme, this year's winners and finalists will present their winning projects in the form of workshops and share their experiences of EIM. "With that, the 'Sustainability Award' will become the main agenda!” said a delighted Steffen Schaar.
